Money, Banks, Credit cards
Currency in Spain is the Euro(€). Bank hours are normally open 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM, from Monday to Friday (also open on Thursday afternoons). Visa and Mastercard are the credit cards most used in Spain. American Express is not accepted everywhere.
Electricity power supply
Electricity is supplied throughout the country at 220 V, 50 Hz. Depending on your country of origin, you may need an adapter.
Smoking
Smoking is banned in all public buildings in Spain including restaurants and bars. The conference site is a non-smoking area.
VAT
General VAT type in Spain is 21%, although hotels and restaurants are in the reduced type wehich is 10%. Taxes are generally included in the purchase price.
Liability
The Conference Organizers shall not be held liable for personal accidents or losses or damage to private property of registered delegates of the Conference. Delegates should make their own arrangements in respect of personal insurance.
